Terms of Service
Last Updated: October 18, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using PCM Drop ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Service Description
PCM Drop is a free, web-based set of audio utilities: a player and batch converter for raw PCM audio (exporting to MP3, WAV, OGG, or WebM), a general audio format converter, and an online tone generator, together with reference guides on audio formats. All audio processing is performed locally in your web browser, and your audio files are never uploaded to or stored on our servers. The site is supported by advertising and uses analytics, as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may add, change, or remove tools and features at any time. Output depends on your browser's audio support; for example, OGG and WebM export are not available in every browser.
3. Disclaimer of Warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that defects will be corrected. You use the Service at your own risk.
4. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall PCM Drop, its creators, or affiliates be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (including, but not limited to, procurement of substitute goods or services; loss of use, data, or profits; or business interruption) however caused and on any theory of liability, whether in contract, strict liability, or tort (including negligence or otherwise) arising in any way out of the use of this software, even if advised of the possibility of such damage.
5. User Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for the audio files you process with the Service. You must ensure that you have the necessary rights and permissions to use and convert any files you use with the application.
6. Hearing Safety
The tone generator and the audio players can produce loud and high-frequency sounds. Always start at a low volume, especially with headphones, and stop if you feel discomfort. The tone generator's hearing and tinnitus guidance is for general information only and is not a medical test or a substitute for a professional hearing assessment. You are responsible for using the Service at a safe listening level.
7. Guides and Reference Content
Our guides, presets, and reference tables are provided in good faith to help you work with audio, but device settings and formats vary. Verify critical settings against your own source's documentation before relying on them.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to interfere with the operation of the Service, attempt to disrupt it, or use automated means to access it in a way that places an unreasonable load on it.
9. Third-Party Services and Links
The Service displays advertisements and may link to or embed content from third parties, such as YouTube videos and a Google Forms contact form. We are not responsible for third-party content, products, or services, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. The "Last Updated" date above shows when they were last revised. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
